A system and a method for coordinating a course through a mobile terminal are provided to realize an education information system recommending a specialized subject suitable for each student based on a subject tree of a college and a subject history of the student by using a wireless Internet environment. The mobile terminal(100) has a user interface for applying for the subject by searching and editing the applied subject, and checking the recommended subjects. A server(200) generates a user socket communication module by connecting to the user interface of the mobile terminal and an inference engine recommending the most suitable subject for a current term to the user by using a subject recommending algorithm. The user interface includes a login module, a basic arrangement managing module, an application module, a socket communication module, a record inquiry module, and a time table inquiry module.
