An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to enable an aperture formed in a backlight housing to function as a housing window and check a protrusion part formed in an optical sheet through the housing window with the naked eye, thereby solving the defect such as the omission of optical sheet insertion. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises the followings: an LC panel(1); a light guide plate(4) which is installed under the LC panel, transmits light from a light source(3) to the LC panel; at least one optical sheet(10a,10b) installed on the light guide plate; and a backlight housing(6b) for receiving the light guide plate and the optical sheet. The optical sheet is placed in an aperture which is formed between the backlight housing and the light guide plate. A size of an aperture at the center of the optical sheet is smaller than a size of the aperture at an end of the optical sheet.
