A transmission miss control preventing apparatus of a four wheel drive vehicle is provided to preclude a second projection of a friction ring from being rotated to a counterclockwise direction through a stopper when changing the gear from high speed of two wheels to high speed of four wheels, thereby removing the miss control of the transmission. A transmission miss control preventing apparatus of a four wheel drive vehicle comprises a transmission lever assembly(1), a shift shaft(2), a 2WD-4WD driving rail(3) and a 4H-4L rail(6), a 2WD-4WD fork(4), a 2WD-4WD sleeve(5), a 4H-4L fork(51), a 4H-4L sleeve(8), a friction ring(52), a circular spring(53), and a coil spring and a stopper(55). The friction ring is formed with a first projection part(52a) to be combined with a projection part of the 4H-4L fork, a second projection(52b) at the lower end of the first projection, and a groove along the outer peripheral surface thereof. The coil spring and the stopper control the second projection part of the friction ring. The stopper prevents the second projection of the friction ring from being rotated to the counterclockwise direction.
