A cyclone dust collection device for a vacuum cleaner is provided to increase the capacity of the dust container and improve the convenience of use by enlarging the height of a dust container and allowing longitudinal direction of a cyclone unit to be horizontal direction. A cyclone dust collection device for a vacuum cleaner comprises a cyclone unit(110), a dust container(150), and an air discharging passage(161). The cyclone unit is installed to allow a longitudinal major axis to be horizontal direction and separates the foreign material in the air by installing an air inlet and an air discharging port. The dust container is connected with the lower end of a cyclone unit and stores the foreign material separated from the cyclone unit. The air discharging passage connected with the air discharging port is formed at the dust container so as to discharge the air discharged from the cyclone unit into the lower end of the dust container through the dust container.
