A pixel clock generator includes a high frequency clock generator that generates a high frequency clock; a comparator that detects a time interval between a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal which are input, compares the time interval detected with a target value, and outputs an error with the target value; a frequency calculator that calculates a set value of a pixel clock frequency according to the error output from the comparator, and outputs a frequency specification signal for specifying a pixel clock frequency according to the set value of the pixel clock frequency calculated; and a frequency divider that divides the high frequency clock by a frequency division ratio based on the frequency specification signal output from the frequency calculator, and generates the pixel clock. |
