FIELD: measuring technique. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises connecting the chamber with the material to be tested, evacuating the measuring chamber, expanding the measuring chamber to reach a pressure providing molecular flow regime through the pores of the material to be tested, measuring the volume of the measuring chamber, and recording the moment at which the gas begins to flow through the material, residual pressure of gas, and temperature in the chamber in this period.
