METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULTANEOUS WATCHING OF MULTI SCENE PLURAL CHANNEL BROADCASTING IN DMB MOBILE PHONE

A method and an apparatus for displaying a plurality of simultaneous pictures in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) portable terminal are provided to enable a user to watch one of satellite and terrestrial DMB or watch a plurality of channels of the satellite DMB on a multi-screen at the same time. A driving state of each DMB broadcast is checked so that satellite and terrestrial DMB can be watched. Settings for displaying the satellite and terrestrial DMB on a multi-screen are performed. The multi-screen includes a main picture and a sub-picture displayed on a display part. Each of the satellite and terrestrial DMB is watched at the same time on the multi-screen according to selection of the satellite and terrestrial DMB. The multi-screen is displayed by PIP(Picture In Picture).
