A control method of an immobilizer system for a vehicle is provided to prevent a vehicle theft caused by the use of a duplication key by precluding the engine from being started when a smartra communication authentication fails. A control method of an immobilizer system for a vehicle includes a first step of inserting a start key(10) in a key hole(40) to start an engine of the vehicle; a second step of checking the communication authentication between an engine ECU(Electronic Control Unit,70) and a smartra(60), and trying the authentication between the engine ECU and an immobilizer lamp group(80); and a third step of allowing the engine start if a normal result is judged, and failing to start the engine when the smartra communication authentication fails and the immobilizer lamp is operated. |
