A drive of round-knitting machine has connected to each other by means of mechanical transmissions electric motor and vertical drive shaft at ends of which drive elements are rigidly fixed, those are kinematically connected to drive elements of transmissions of knitting mechanism and mechanism of product receiving, respectively. One of mechanical transmissions additionally has damping unit with elastic elements installed on vertical drive shaft.
