An electric power steering device is provided to obtain steering efficiency of the vehicle even if a driving motor of low capacity is used by installing an acceleration and reduction ratio damping unit to one side of a planetary gear set and changing the acceleration and reduction ratio of the torque through the planetary gear set. An electric power steering device comprises a rack bar(10), a driven pulley(22), a driving pulley(24), a driving motor(26), a planetary gear set, and an acceleration and reduction ratio damping unit. Both ends of the rack bar are connected to left and right wheels. The planetary gear set is mounted on a rotary shaft of the driving motor and the driving pulley. The acceleration and reduction ratio damping unit is mounted to one side of the planetary gear set to change the acceleration and reduction ratio of the torque. The planetary gear set contains a first sun gear(40), a second sun gear(44), a plurality of planetary gears(42), a plurality of second planetary gears(46), a plurality of gear shafts(48), and a carrier(50) rotatably supporting the gear shafts.
