A lighting unit consists of a source of alternating current and a switch, first outputs of which are connected together, the first and the second condenser interconnected with their first leads, their second leads being connected, accordingly, to inputs of bridge circuit. Outputs of the bridge circuit are connected, accordingly, to first leads of the first resistance and a light-emitting diode, second leads of which being connected together. The second terminal of the alternating current source is connected to the second lead of the second condenser. Additionally, the second resistance inserted in circuit is connected with its first leads to the second switch lead, the second lead - to the first lead of the first condenser.
