<p>A structure for preventing restart of an ignition key switch is provided to prevent a key from being rotated to a start position by locking a locking member after an engine is started. A structure for preventing restart of an ignition key switch includes a restart prevention unit(10). The restart prevention unit includes a rotating member(20), a locking member(30), and a fixing member(40). The restart prevention unit is assembled in a conventional ignition key switch. The locking member is lifted and lowered about a hinge shaft by the action of a ball(34) and a spring. The action of the ball and the spring is performed by a locking protrusion(45), a guided boss(35), a guide boss(47) and a return protrusion(46). An outer tip end of the locking member is caught by the locking protrusion when the ignition key switch is returned to an ON position after the engine is started so that the restart of the ignition key switch is prevented.</p> |
