FIELD: processes and apparatuses for welding capsules with filler, floats for internal combustion engines, flat parts such as electric buses and so on. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes punch and die whose working surfaces have dead trapezoidal notches. Die is mounted in die set by means of die holder having opening for inlet of working portion of punch. In lateral surface of punch openings are formed; cams are inserted into said openings for engaging with die holder through rotary grooves with guiding steps. Plate in the form of ring of construction antifriction material is mounted in punch with possibility of rotating punch. Die holder is hardened till hardness HKC3 42 - 47. ^ EFFECT: enhanced strength and operational reliability of welded seam due to additional rupture of oxide film in peripheral portions of seam. ^ 3 cl, 4 dwg, 1 ex
