A PASTE DRYING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

An apparatus and a method for drying paste of a plasma display panel are provided to prevent generation of leakage to an outside of a chamber and to maintain a cleaning state of a clean room by lowering relatively pressure of solvent gas. A chamber(60) includes an internal working space(62), and an inlet and an outlet for connecting the internal working space with an outside. A supporting unit(68) is installed in the inside of the chamber in order to support the substrate coated with the paste. A heating source(70) is installed in the inside of the chamber in order to dry the paste of the substrate by supplying radiation energy from a lower part of the substrate supported by the supporting unit. An air supply line is used for supplying the air through a lateral surface of the substrate to an upper part of the substrate by supplying the air to the inside of the working space of the chamber. An upper part of the chamber is formed by a slant hood(88) having a center higher than an edge. An exhaust line(92) is used for exhausting the air and the solvent gas to the outside of the chamber.
