A hybrid power train for a vehicle is provided to obtain low speed torque of the vehicle sufficiently, and to minimize load increment according to the reduced volume and length of the power train. A hybrid power train for a vehicle comprises an engine(1), a clutch(3), a connecting gear(5), a ring gear(9), a transmission(7), a planetary gear set(15), and a motor(19). The clutch switches the connected and disconnected states with the output shaft of the engine. The connecting gear is connected with the clutch. The ring gear functions as an input shaft of the transmission. The planetary gear set contains the ring gear, a carrier and a sun gear mounted in the ring gear. The motor has a rotor(17) connected with the sun gear. The carrier works as a fixed element. The transmission is installed with a torque converter(21). A lock up clutch(23) is installed to the torque converter.
