METHOD OF MEASURING OR TESTING STRENGTH OF POWDER COMPRESSION-MOLDED ARTICLE

A method of nondestructively measuring or testing the properties of powder compression-molded article (especially tablet); in particular, a method of nondestructively measuring or testing the comprehensive strength of powder compression-molded article tending to invite the cracking, breakage, defacement, etc. of tablet. There are provided a method of measuring or testing the physical strength of powder compression-molded article, and method of evaluating the physical strength of powder compression-molded article, through nondestructive measuring of the surface hardness of powder compression-molded article. In particular, there is provided a method of measuring or testing the strength of powder compression-molded article, including the step of nondestructively measuring the surface hardnesses at any arbitrary multiple points of the surface of powder compression-molded article and the step of making comparison among the measured surface hardnesses of powder compression-molded article. Furthermore, there is provided a process for producing a powder compression-molded article, including the above method, and provided a method of evaluating the fragility of tablet with the use of the above method.
