<p>The invention relates to a novel design for a catch of the type incorporated at the end of a flexometer, composed of a ribbed steel band on which the corresponding divisions are printed and which, through the effect of a coil spring, is wound up inside a case. The novelty of the invention lies in the fact that the catch that acts as stop at the start of the flexometer is unlike catches that may be considered to form part of the prior art as it covers the two, upper and lower, faces of the end of the strip and is in the form of a single piece. If the material chosen for manufacturing the flexometer is a transparent plastic or the like, it affords a further noteworthy useful aspect, i.e. it does not prevent correct reading of the strip's numbering in the region where the two are in contact.</p> |
