<p>An insertion device for surgical implantation of an intraocular lens in the eye is disclosed. The device comprises a plunger (200) which is displaceable within a sleeve (110) for guided insertion of the lens. Biasing means with a varying spring constant, e.g. at least two springs (310, 320) acting in different phases of the stroke, are provided for generating a rearward biasing force. This improves the control of the insertion process for the surgeon.</p> |
