A method and an apparatus for forming a pattern by spraying materials are provided to form the pattern minutely and relatively irrespective of characteristics of the pattern materials, thereby enhancing the flat panel display quality. A process for coating a screen agent on a glass(12) at an interval is performed. Thereafter, the pattern materials are coated on the glass at the interval between the coated screen agents. Before the spray of the screen agent and the pattern materials, the pitch of a screen agent nozzle(22) for coating the screen agent and the width of a pattern material nozzle(28) are controlled according to the width of the pattern. The distance between a screen agent head(20) having the screen agent nozzle and a pattern material head having the pattern material nozzle is also controlled. After controlling the distance between the heads, the screen agent and the pattern materials are sprayed in order to perform the inspection and then the pattern formation state is inspected by an inspection unit. The inspection unit also offers the data for controlling the distance between the screen agent head and the pattern head. |
