<p>An improved hearing aid wherein the hearing aid includes a plurality of modules, each of the modules having the necessary firmware, hardware and software for enhancing at least one characteristic of the hearing aid, and wherein the modules can be productively activated and deactivated remotely such that upon activation, operating parameters associated with the particular model can be adjusted. The hearing aid thus reduces the number of models required permitting the specific tailoring of the hearing aid to the needs and requirements of the user.</p> |
