LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY SYSTEM

A light source section, which has been conventionally arranged integrally with a liquid crystal display panel and emits a red beam, a green beam and a blue beam, is spatially separated from the liquid crystal display panel. A power supply, an optical system and a heat source are mounted on the light source section, and are completely separated from the liquid crystal display panel. The laser beam emitted from the light source section is guided to the liquid crystal display panel through a fiber. Thus, the liquid crystal display device wherein the liquid crystal display panel is remarkably reduced in thickness and weight is provided.
