摘要 A grinding processing method for an optical spherical lens is provided to shorten time taken for a grinding process by performing precise grinding through a single process. A grinding processing method for an optical spherical lens includes a first step of performing a coarse grinding process on a lens material(W) by using a centripetal rotary type grinding board(1); a second step of using a diamond tool having #300 to #600(mean particle size 60 to 30 micron meters) and a concentricity 50 or higher as a coarse grinding tool board(4); and a third step of rotating the coarse grinding tool board at the speed of 2500 to 3500 rpm. In the second step, the coarse grinding tool board rotates centering from a rotation center line(4A) passing through a center(O) of a spherical surface of the coarse grinding tool board, such that the rotation center line draws a conical surface having the center of the spherical surface as an apex. The lens material is rotated in the same direction with the coarse grinding tool board at the speed identical with that of the coarse grinding tool board and pressed in the direction passing the center of the coarse grinding tool board with respect to a grinding surface(4a) of the coarse grinding tool board which centripetally rotates. A spherical grinding process is performed on the lens material while transferring the lens material in the same direction. The coarse grinding tool board is supported by a centripetal rotary body(31). The centripetal rotary body has an outer surface set on a spherical support surface of the coarse grinding tool board. Compressed air is supplied to the gap formed between the outer surface and the support surface such that the centripetal rotary body floats and rotates.
