Disclosed is a method for playing and processing audio data of at least two computer units via a packet-switched data network, at least one first computer unit receiving audio data via an audio input and forwarding said audio data to the second computer unit. The inventive method comprises the following steps: the audio data of the first computer unit is provided with continuous sample numbers that refer to a starting time, the starting time being set by the first computer unit by transmitting a copy of the beginning of the additional audio data to the first computer unit and defining the starting point of the audio data of the first computer unit in relation to the starting time of the additional audio data; a second computer unit is initialized for playing the additional audio data that is also provided with continuous sample numbers; the audio data of the at least two computer units is temporarily stored in a memory and is associated with each other via the sample numbers. |
