Disclosed is a mutant of an enzyme involved in such a sugar chain modification that an a-bonding is formed between position-6 of N-acetylglycosamine at the reducing terminus of a N-glycoside-bound composite sugar chain and position-1 of fucose, wherein the mutant has such an amino acid modification that the enzymatic activity is deleted or reduced. Also disclosed is use of the mutant.
