A method for preparing a positive electrode plate of a lead storage battery having a capacity of 80 Ah is provided to improve reserve capacity and 5HR remarkably by using an ACF(Activated Carbon Fiber) as an active material additive. A method for preparing a positive electrode plate comprises the steps of mixing a leady oxide powder, a fiber, a cellulose flux, an expender, and 0.1-1 wt% of a rayon-based activated carbon fiber (ACF) having a specific surface area of 1,500 m^2/g and having chopped form; stirring the mixture with injecting distilled water and sulfuric acid to prepare a negative electrode active material paste based on lead as a main component; coating the paste on a substrate; aging the coated one; and drying the aged one. |
