Method of collecting descriptions of streams pertaining to streams relating to at least one client network, the client network being attached to an interconnection network comprising: a first step of receiving descriptions of streams, the descriptions of streams pertaining to streams originating from the client network; a first step of aggregating the descriptions of streams pertaining to the streams originating from the client network as a function of an aggregation criterion; a first step of transmitting descriptions of aggregated streams to a collection equipment; characterized in that it furthermore comprises: a step of analysing the descriptions of the streams pertaining to the streams originating from the client network so as to determine at least one stream characteristic specific to the client network; a second step of receiving descriptions of streams, said descriptions of streams pertaining to streams originating from the interconnection network; a step of filtering the descriptions of streams pertaining to the streams originating from the interconnection network, in which the descriptions of streams pertaining to streams that are devoid of the determined stream characteristic specific to the client network are eliminated; a second step of transmitting the filtered descriptions of streams to the collection equipment.
