A light emitting device is provided to prevent a leaked liquid resin from running down when forming a molding portion through casting mold method, by forming a pressure adjusting portion on a housing or a board. A light emitting device includes a light emitting chip(140) mounted on a body and a molding portion(180) sealing the light emitting chip. A pressure adjusting portion(100c) is formed on the body at an edge of the molding portion. The body has a housing(100) or a board, and the housing has a flat base(100a), a sidewall(100b) vertically extending from an edge of the base, and a pressure adjusting portion formed on the sidewall.
