PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television program video recorder in which it is unnecessary to be connected to a personal computer in a communicable way and to depress buttons of a remote controller dozens of times in order to select Kana (Japanese syllabary) characters one by one by using program information of a television program received by a broadcast receiving part, thereby generating the title information of video recording medium. SOLUTION: The television program video recorder comprises: the broadcast receiving part 102 for receiving television broadcasts; a program video recording part 106 for performing video recording of a television program video received by the broadcast receiving part 102 in a switchable video recording medium 107, an information recording part 103 for recording program information of the television program received by the broadcast receiving part 102, and a title information preparing part 104 for using the program information recorded by the information recording part 103 to prepare title information of the video recording medium 107 and recording the prepared title information in the video recording medium 107.
