PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure having the greatest irradiation effect of light by enlarging the surface area of a catalyst and unifomizing the light incoming to the surface carrying the catalyst within a limited volume using a rod-like illuminant light source. SOLUTION: In the structure of the photocatalyst carrier, the substrate carrying the catalyst is radially molded in a wave-form shape on the surface with an annular mesh material by making it eccentric. The single substrate is housed in a cylindrical vessel in a reversed pile to form the structure of the photocatalyst carrier, so that the increase of the catalyst area and the greatest effect of the photoirradiation are achieved.
