PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rice peptide, with which a rice peptide is efficiently obtained. SOLUTION: A supernatant liquid obtained by dissolving rice or rice bran in an alkali solution is neutralized with an acid, a rice protein is recovered and hydrolyzed with a proteolytic enzyme. A prolamine having a high BCAA content that is slightly recovered by a conventional method is decomposed and recovered. Abundantly containing BCAA, the rice peptide obtained by the method is suitable as a nutritional supplement in reduction in physical strength following a severe exercise, etc., and an enteral nutrient for ameliorating a pathological condition of insufficient digestive function and is widely used in the medical or food industry.
