LCD DEVICE FOR MAINTAINING CELL GAP

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) for maintaining a cell gap is provided to make sequentially insert post spacers insert into insertion holes with different size according to the degree of the external pressure. A lower substrate(120) is located oppositely to an upper substrate(110) and has insertion holes with one between a cylindrical shape and a polygon shape, and the different size. A liquid crystal layer(130) is interposed between the upper and lower substrates. A post spacer(140) is combined with the upper substrate and inserted into the insertion hole when bonding the upper and lower substrates so that the cell gap of the liquid crystal layer is maintained constantly. The cross-section of the post spacer has a reverse trapezoid shape. When the external pressure is applied to the LCD, the outer surfaces of the post spacers are contacted and supported to the outer wall of the insertion holes sequentially. The restoration force of the post spacers is maintained because the sizes of the insertion holes differ from each other.
