<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an already-ordered state to be checked on a printer side without connecting with a server for asking the situation through a network or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This printer comprises an inputting means 31, a storage device 40, an order processing means 32, an information updating means 33, and a displaying means 34. In this case, the inputting means 31 receives the input of order information 41 required for ordering consumables. The storage device 40 stores the order information 41 and already-ordered information 42 including order information of which the order process has been already performed. The order processing means 32 reads the newly received order information 41, and transmits the order information 41 to an order managing party through a network. The information updating means 33 updates the already-ordered information 42 in a manner to include the order information 41 when the order information 41 is transmitted to the order managing party.
