<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounter capable of enhancing the component mounting precision. <P>SOLUTION: This component mounter comprises a working head 15 having a rotary main shaft 16 with a pneumatic circuit 16a and a suction nozzle for sucking an electronic component, and a head support 17 for driving the working head 15 at least in the Z-axis direction which is connected to a drive source via a transmission 25. The working head 15 comprises a support pressing spring 18 for pressing the head support 17.
