<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starter capable of further properly starting an engine using energy of a hydraulic fluid. <P>SOLUTION: When starting the engine 10, a hydraulic pump motor 22 is driven by using the energy of the hydraulic fluid stored in an accumulator 28, by switching a directional control valve 30 and an opening-closing valve 32 in a state of allowing supply of the energy of the hydraulic fluid to an inlet 22a of the hydraulic pump motor 22 from the accumulator 28 in a state of releasing a clutch 24. When driving the hydraulic pump motor 22, a one-way clutch 34 is engaged, and motive power of the hydraulic pump motor 22 is transmitted to the engine 10 after reducing a speed by a speed reduction mechanism 36. After starting the engine 10, a dragging loss in the one-way clutch 34 can be reduced, by cutting off the transmission of the motive power to the speed reduction mechanism 36 from the engine 10 by idle rotation of the one-way clutch 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
