PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping cloth which hardly leave wiping residue, can remove a microfine-particle-containing paste without marring a surface to be wiped, and holds the microfine particles in the fabric without fail and prevent them from flying off the system. SOLUTION: The wiping cloth is a fabric for wiping off a substantially water-free paste containing particles with a maximum particle diameter of 40μm or smaller and having a paste viscosity of 0.5 to 50 Pas. The wiping cloth comprises ultrafine fibers each having a single fiber fineness of 1.0 dtex or less and has a fabric bulk density of 2.2 cm<SP>3</SP>/g or higher, and a fabric thickness of 0.25 mm or larger.
