PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for promptly examining chemical sensitivity, much shortening culture time required for examination, exhibiting good evaluation conformance with that of conventional methods and applicable to clinically important wide bacterial groups, and to provide a method for promptly identifying examination. SOLUTION: The method comprises culturing bacteria in the presence of an electron transfer agent and detecting the action of oxidoreductase in the bacterial body based on chemiluminescence, which action is reduction of the electron transfer agent, using nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate as a coenzyme.
