<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dazzle when a user lights an illuminating means and displays an image in a display element when rising. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 1 for controlling the brightness of the display element 3 so as to gradually increase the brightness after lighting of the illuminating means is equipped with a luminance controller 6 which gradually increases the brightness of the luminance controller 6 of the display element 3 by the two settings varying in the length of the time before the prescribed luminance is attained after the lighting of the illuminating means. The device is further equipped with a timer section 5 which performs lighting of the illuminating means. The luminance controller 6 gradually increases the brightness of the display element 3 by setting of the longer time before the attainment of the prescribed luminance of the two settings when lighting of the illuminating means by timer on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
