<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device, performing multicolor display, which is increased in luminance of a specified color and made long in life of other colors. <P>SOLUTION: Of each pixels, an organic EL element for a white dot has a light emission layer emitting white light and an organic EL element for a red dot has a light emission layer emitting red light. The red dot has smaller area than the white dot. For red display, a cathode driver applies a select voltage to two cathode wires arranged spatially successively in one select period.
