<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate driving by reducing a load of a toner agitation member when the toner agitation member is driven after a toner cartridge is inserted in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner cartridge inserted in a copying machine has a cartridge case 2, a toner agitation paddle 31, first and second projection members 32, and a projection mechanism. The cartridge case 2 has a discharge opening 55 in a bottom wall 8, and stores toner in the inside. The toner agitation paddle 31 is arranged in the cartridge case 2, has a first rotary shaft 34a and a second rotary shaft 34b and agitates the toner. The first and second projection members 32 are provided at the upper side in a vertical direction of both axial ends of the toner agitation paddle 31 and are members capable of projection toward the inside of the cartridge case 2.
