PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of attaching a brush to a substrate enabling even an unskilled person to contact with a conductive line without breaking the brush. SOLUTION: Insertion movement of a brush substrate 4 in a housing 1 through an insertion hole 3 includes first movement for moving the brush substrate 4 approximately in parallel in a noncontact state to a slip ring 2, and second movement for approaching and moving the brush substrate 4 with respect to the slip ring 2 in a state that the respective brushes (large and small brushes 40, 41) maintain a parallel state in positions where the brushes reach on predetermined conductive lines 21, 22.
