PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake device having a brake shoe in proper contact with a ledge surface while actualizing smooth turns of the brake shoe. SOLUTION: The drum brake device comprises a ledge member 66 having the ledge surface 66a in contact with the first brake shoe 14 at the side of a back plate 38. The ledge member 66 is formed semi-spherical. The back plate 38 has a recessed portion 38c formed with its curved face. The recessed porion 38c rockingly supports the ledge member 66 around the axis in almost the same direction as the extending direction of the first brake shoe 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
