PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent for cleaning a fibrous product, which is capable of preventing secondary damage such as sustained release of a bad smell in fibers. SOLUTION: By performing a sizing treatment by applying a sizing agent obtained by addingβ-cyclodextrin orγ-cyclodextrin to a paste agent, the paste agent containing a specific cyclodextrin covers the surroundings or gap of the fibers to deter or suppress the sustained release of the bad smell once incorporated into the fibrous products by the presence of the cyclodextrin having deodorizing activity. The sizing agent containing the cyclodextrin incorporating the smell is removed by cleaning its rinsing process on re-cleaning the fibrous products in each time, and is substituted by a new sizing agent in its final sizing treatment.
