PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing composite fine particles which can give a cured membrane or a cured product that is not only excellent in weather resistance and contamination resistance, but also is high in transparency and hardness. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the composite fine particles comprises a process of hydrolyzing to thereby condense a silicon-containing polymer (P) alone or with a hydrolyzable metal compound (G) and a process of reacting the hydrolyzed condensate with a coupling agent having an ethylenic unsaturated group, wherein the silicon-containing polymer (P) is composed of an organic chain and a polysiloxane group having at least one Si-OR<SP>1</SP>group (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is at least one group selected from hydrogen and an optionally substituted alkyl or acyl group, and a plurality of R<SP>1</SP>s may be same to or different from each others if they are found in one molecule).
