METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENTLY DETECTION OF NACK AND ACK ERROR IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus for detecting NACK and ACK errors in a mobile communication system are provided to detect accurately NACK and ACK information by enabling a transmitter to notify a retransmission state using a common control channel. A receiving apparatus includes a demultiplexer(905), an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) receiver(910), a transmitter(940), and an NACK/ACK error controller(935). The demultiplexer receives packet control information(915) and processes an HARQ packet(920). When an HARQ packet process result is delivered to the transmitter, the transmitter sends a feedback signal(925). The transmitter transmits an ACK signal or a NACK signal according to the HARQ packet process result, when the NACK/ACK error controller delivers a NACK/ACK error report message. The NACK/ACK error controller detects the NACK/ACK error by using last feedback information in an HARQ transmission cycle. The demultiplexer delivers the HARQ packet to an upper layer through multiplexing information on the received HARQ packet.
