A printing method by a thermal head and an apparatus thereof are provided to perform a clear printing by displacing moving rolls disposed on both sides of a platen. A printing apparatus by a thermal head includes a ribbon tape disc(1), a reel(4), a spindle(6), a line thermal head(8), a packaging film(10), and a guide roller(13). The ribbon tape disc provides a ribbon tape(2). The reel is supported in a spindle(5). The spindle is provided to a device casing(3). The packaging film is an object to be printed. The guide roller guides the ribbon tape. Moving rollers(15,16) are disposed on both sides of a platen to change a stagnation quantity of a moving object on a side of the platen and a printing is performed by the moving rollers so that a place to print the moving object is moved at a predetermined speed.
