A dry control device for a dish washer and a method thereof are provided to remove a high temperature vapor generated due to the heating rinse by executing a dry operation while storing the cool water before starting a dry process. A dry control device for a dish washer comprises a key input unit(100), a control unit(200), and a valve driving unit(400). The key input unit inputs a course selection and operation command desired for users. The control unit controls a corresponding operation according to the desire of users input through the key input unit and the supply of the water before starting a dry process in a dry operation. The valve driving unit controls the driving of a water supply valve and a regenerating valve according to the control signal of the control unit.
