<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device wherein electric charges stored in a reflux diode can be sufficiently reduced and a reverse recovery current passed when the other switching element is turned on can be sufficiently suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: While MOSFET 3u is still on, a reverse voltage application circuit 5u is actuated and a low reverse voltage Vd is applied to the reflux diode Du- of the MOSFET 3u. Thus, a reverse recovery current starts to flow.
