<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable circular saw having improved visibility of a cutting line. <P>SOLUTION: The circular saw is equipped with a housing 2 having a built-in motor, a circular saw blade 3 rotatably supported on the housing 2, a saw cover body part 41 which is provided on the housing 2 and covers an approximate half of an outer periphery of the circular saw blade 3, and a lighting device 5 provided on the saw cover body part 41. The lighting device 5 is equipped with a first illumination part 53 emitting an illuminating radiation from the housing 2 side of the circular saw blade 3, and a second illumination part 54 emitting the irradiation radiation from the opposite housing 2 side. The first illumination part 53 and the second illumination part 54 can illuminate the blade edge of the circular saw blade 3 which is exposed from the saw cover body part 41 and at the front side in the cutting direction, and the portion at the front side in the cutting direction of the workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
