<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of improving utilization efficiency of light from a tube ball part. <P>SOLUTION: This light source device 110 is provided with a light emitting tube 20 having the tube ball part 30 with a pair of built in electrodes 42, 52 and a pair of sealing parts 40, 50 extending both sides of the tube ball 30 and having a shape that the tube ball part 30 and a pair of the sealing parts 40, 50 have been smoothly connected, a reflector 10 which is arranged and installed on the sealing part 40 side and in which the light from the tube ball part 30 is reflected toward the illuminated region side, and a sub-mirror 60 which is arranged and installed on the sealing part 50 side and in which the light from the tube ball part 30 is reflected toward the tube ball part 30. The shape of the inner face of the sub-mirror 60 has a shape of oval face. Then, whenθexpresses the angle made by a straight line A which passes through an inflection point Q existing between the tube ball part 30 and the sealing part 50 at the outer face of the light emitting tube 20 and passes through the intermediate point P of the pair of the electrodes 42, 52, and by an illumination optical axis 100ax, and when K expresses a conical constant of the oval face, in the case ofθ≥50°, K is 0<K<0.5, and in the case ofθ<50°, K is -0.5<K<0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
