摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide device arranged in parallel on an optical axis and is constituted so that the width of an angle at which light can be bent may be large and the loss of light may be small, and to provide a projector attaining miniaturization by using the light guide device. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide device is equipped with a square pillar-like rod 241 and an isosceles triangle prism 242. In the rod 241, one end face is made a plane that crosses the optical axis perpendicularly as an incident surface 243, and the other end face is made an inclined surface that crosses the optical axis obliquely as an emitting surface 244. In the prism 242, either of two crossing surfaces located opposite to an oblique side surface is made an incident port 245, the other is made an emitting port 246, and the oblique side surface is made a reflection surface 247. The emitting surface 244 of the rod 241 is set opposite and stuck to the incident port 245 of the prism 242, and an adhesive surface 248 is stuck with a light-transmissive adhesive, having a smaller refractive index than the prism 242. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
